BRONY, N.Y. – For the ninth consecutive match, the Fordham women's tennis team came out a 4-0 winner, keeping the streak alive with a 4-0 victory over the University of Rhode Island on the Hawthorn/Rooney Courts.
 
Fordham opened the match taking the doubles point, winning two of the three doubles matches. Nevena Kolarevic and Julianne Nguyen blanked Rhode Island's Nikki Fernando and Kajsa Helgesen, 6-0, at first doubles and Lily Chitambar and Valerija Kargina defeated Anastasia Pettersson and Grace Darcy, 7-5, at the second position.
 
The Rams then won the first three completed singles matches, all in straight sets, for the win. Valerija Kargina started things with a 6-1, 6-1, win over Sophie Herrman at third singles, before Lily Chitambar made it 2-0 for Fordham with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Anastasia Pettersson at the fifth spot. Julianne Nguyen clinched the match for Fordham when she downed Miruna Scarlat at sixth singles, 6-0, 6-4.
