Baseball Splits Home & Home Series with FDU

Tommy McAndrews Hits a Grand Slam Home Run for Fordham, while Caden Young Drives in Three in Loss

Bronx, N.Y. – (April 15, 2026) –FDU's Hunter Ray and Jeremy Delamota combined for three home runs and seven RBI, as the Knights split the home-and-home series with the Fordham Rams with a 12-10 win at Houlihan Park on Wednesday.
 
THE GAME
  • FDU started with a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a solo home run by Jeremy Delamota and then made it 2-0 in the third inning on a solo home run by Hunter Ray.
  • Fordham answered with a five-run third inning for a 5-2 lead, highlighted by an RBI-single by Taylor Kirk and a grand slam home run by Tommy McAndrews, his eighth of the season.
  • After a run by FDU, the Rams scored four times in the fourth for a 9-3 lead, as Ernie Little had an RBI-single with Anthony Grabau having an RBI-double and Caden Young connecting on a two-run double.
  • The Knights followed with five runs in the fifth and two in the sixth to take a 10-9 lead.
  • Fordham then knotted the game at 10 with an RBI-single by Young in the bottom of the sixth inning.
  • FDU though would score once in the seventh and eighth innings to finish with the 12-10 victory.
 
GAME NOTES
  • McAndrews led the way for Fordham, going 2-for-6 with a grand slam home run, two runs scored, and four RBI.
  • Young was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI, while Grabau went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
  • Tim Ford ended up 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and two runs scored, while Little was also 2-for-4 with two runs scored and added an RBI.
