Bronx, N.Y. - Falling a pair of close one run games, the Rams put the tying run on base in the bottom of the seventh both times, as Fordham University Softball lost 6-5 to Quinnipiac and 5-4 to UAlbany Saturday.
HOW GAME ONEÂ HAPPENED
Senior Holly Beeman started and took the loss in the circle for Fordham in game one, while sophomore Vicki Klimaszewski finished the ballgame and went 2.1 shutout innings while allowing three hits, walking one and striking out two.
Neleh Nogay's three-hit day led the Rams offensively, while freshman Sadira Forcucci furnished a noteworthy performance at the plate as well, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Senior Nicki Sudall also chipped in for Fordham, putting together two hits in four trips to the plate while adding a double and an RBI.
Trailing 2-0, the Rams first put a run on the board in the first inning. Fordham got an RBI single from Sudall, scoring Nogay from third base. The Rams kept the deficit at 2-1 before tying the score in the second on an RBI single off the bat of Klimaszewski.

The Rams kept the Bobcats off the scoredboard before getting within 6-5 in the seventh. Fordham pushed across a run on Forcucci's one-out RBI double. The Rams were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.

Trailing 1-0, the Rams first put runs on the board in the first inning, putting a pair of runners on before the three-run homer off the bat of Forcucci.
The Great Danes then rallied to score four runs and take a 5-3 lead before the Rams got back on the board in the seventh. Fordham pushed across a run on Koratsis' two-out RBI double, which tightened the Great Danes lead to 5-4 in the seventh but were unable to score the tying run.
