ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y - The scoring came in bunches all afternoon Saturday, as Fordham University Softball swept St. Bonaventure, 4-1 and 12-3, taking game two in five innings.
The win in game two officially marks the 300th victory in Head Coach Melissa Inouye's career.
GAME 1 | Fordham 4, St. Bonaventure 1
Olivia Simcoe got the win for Fordham in game one as the right-hander went seven innings, giving up one run on four hits, allowing four walks and striking out five.
At the dish seven different Rams accounted for eight hits in the series opener, while four different players drove in a run, with Neleh Nogay and Morgan Volgraf each scoring twice.
GAME 2Â | Fordham 12, St. Bonaventure 3 (5 inn.)
Every Fordham starter would either tally a hit or score a run on the day as the Rams also drew six walks in game two on top of nine hits, using a pair of big rallies in the second and fourth inning to win in five.
Vandernoth went 2-for-3 with a double as part of a four RBI day for her, and Eva Koratsis put together a noteworthy day at the plate as well, going 1-for-1 with a triple, a walk and two RBIs. Nicki Sudall also contributed for Fordham, putting together two hits in four trips to the plate while adding a double and an RBI.
Elizabeth Gaisior started in the circle and picked up the win for Fordham. The southpaw went five innings, giving up three runs, on five hits, allowing two walks and striking out one.
HOW GAME ONEÂ HAPPENED
The Rams got on the board immediately, starting their scoring with one run in the top of the first inning. Fordham scored twice, with one run coming across on Koratsis' single.
The Bonnies failed to push any runs across before the Rams offense got back to their scoring ways the next inning. Fordham picked up two runs in the frame, the big hit being an RBI double from Sudall, which brought the score to 4-0 in favor of the Rams. St. Bonaventure put one run on the scoreboard before the game was over, but Fordham still held on for the 4-1 win.

HOW GAME TWO HAPPENED
The Rams got the scoring started early, putting one run on the board in the top of the first inning as Neleh Nogay came across to score the lone run of the inning.
After the Bonnies tied the ballgame at one, the Rams came back to retake the lead in the second inning, exploding for five runs, capped by a triple off the bat of Koratsis, which brought the score to 6-1 in favor of the Rams. Vandernoth and Sudall drove in runs in the frame as well, as did Chloe Trimandilis who helped bring home the first run to spark the rally.
Fordham held the Bonnies scoreless in the next two frames before building their lead to 12-1 in the fourth inning. The Rams bats heated up in the inning, scoring six more runs, highlighted by a bases clearing three-run double off the bat of Vandernoth. The Rams batted a perfect 1-through-9 in the order, loading the bases and scoring the first three runs of the frame on an error and a pair of walks to force in runs.
St. Bonaventure put two runs on the scoreboard before the game was over, but Fordham still coasted to the 12-3 win, improving to .500 in league play.
