Deland, Fla. – (March 1, 2026) – Stetson's Trace Hartman threw six scoreless innings of relief on Sunday, as the Hatters posted a 7-3 win over the Fordham Rams at Melching Field in the series finale between the two teams.
Fordham is now 2-8 on the season, while Stetson moved to 5-7.
THE GAME
- Fordham opened with a 2-0 lead in the first inning, scoring runs on a sacrifice fly by Anthony Grabau and an RBI-single by Madden Ocko.
- The Rams made it 3-0 in the second inning, as Tim Ford led off with a triple to right field and scored on an RBI-single by Tommy Markey.
- Stetson got a single run in the bottom of the second, but it was a five-run fourth inning that gave the Hatters a 6-3 lead, highlighted by a two-run double Landon Russell.
- The Hatters added a final run in the sixth inning for the 7-3 final score.
- The Rams had their hands full over the final six innings with Stetson's relief pitcher Trace Hartman, as he allowed only one hit in that span to go with six strikeouts.
GAME NOTES
- Aidan Dowd (0-2) took the loss, allowing five runs over three-plus innings of work.
- Ernie Little was 2-for-4 with a run scored for Fordham, while Ocko and Markey each had a hit and an RBI.
