Baseball Drops Game Two at UNCW

Wilmington, N.C. – (February 21, 2026) – UNCW's Jake Bechtel and Will Tyrell each drove in five runs for the Seahawks, while Cooper Allen tossed six shutout innings, as the Seahawks shut out the Fordham Rams, 19-0 in seven innings, at Brooks Field in Wilmington, North Carolina.
 
Fordham is now 1-5 on the season, while UNCW moved to 3-3.
 
THE GAME

• The Seahawks capitalized early and often, netting four runs in the first inning, and then scored five times in the second, third, and fourth innings for the 19-0 score.
• UNCW's Jake Bechtel finished 4-for-4 with three doubles, four runs scored and five RBI.
• The Rams managed just four hits in the seven-inning contest

 
GAME NOTES

• Chase Hanawalt (0-2) took the loss, allowing five runs over 1.1 innings of work.
• Tommy McAndrews was 1-for-2 with a double, while Mason Dean, Madden Ocko, and Jack Rubin had the remaining hits for the Rams.
