Bronx, N.Y. – Closing a three-game homestand Saturday afternoon in The Bronx, Fordham University women's basketball hosts Saint Joseph's at the historic Rose Hill Gymnasium
The Rams, who lead the A-10 in field goal percentage defense, will square off with the top shooting team in the league at 2:00 p.m. on SNY and ESPN+ with Andrew Bogusch and Andrew Posadas on the call.
Fordham (8-5, 0-2) battled end-to-end in the second A-10 contest of the year on New Year's Eve, falling to La Salle 72-69. Three players scored in double figures for the Rams, led by 25 points from Alexis Black. The Rams host
Saint Joseph's (10-3, 1-1) defeated VCU on New Year's Eve at home, 55-44. The Hawks lead the A-10 in field goal percentage shooting 44.9% from the floor as a team, and dish a league high 19.5 assists per game as well. Saint Joe's is second in the league in three point percentage (35.5), scoring margin (+14.5), scoring defense (57.1), and rebound margin (5.7).
All time, the Hawks hold a 40-16 edge over Fordham, though the Rams have won seven of the last 10 meetings between the two sides. The Hawks won when the two last met, a 72-65 St. Joe's win in Philadelphia.

Holding opponents to just 35.8% shooting on the year, the Rams also post the best field goal percentage defense in the A-10, 36th best in the country, and also pace the league averaging 27.8 bench points per game, 38th best of any team in the nation.
The Maroon and White also sit 56th in the country in steals per game at 10.8/game, the best average in the league as well, ranked 52nd in the country in turnovers forced per game, forcing opponents into 20.69/game.
The Rams sit 13th among all Division I teams in the nation averaging 17.0 offensive rebounds per game. Fordham ranks 49th nationally in overall rebounds at 41.62, both second best in the A-10.
Fordham has drawn 19.62 free throws attempts per game, ranked 84th in the country, and are 83rd in free throws made per game, averaging 13.69, leading the A-10 in both categories.
Scoring in double figures in each of her first 13 games as a Ram, Alexis Black paces the Rams offense and sits third in the nation in free throws made with 82 on the year, and is 25th amongst all Division I players with 267 points scored, averaging 20.5 points per game, 15th best in the nation. Black is top five in the league in points, assists, steals, three pointers made, three point percentage, and free throws attempted and made.
