Bronx, N.Y.  – Returning home for the first of two straight games at the Rose Hill Gym, Fordham University women's basketball hosts St. Bonaventure Sunday afternoon.

Fordham (8-9, 0-6) is still seeking the first win in conference play this season, falling to Davidson 74-50 on the road last time out Wednesday night. St. Bonaventure (12-6, 3-3) is coming off a 57-48 win at home over Saint Joseph's, improving to .500 in league play with the victory.

The Maroon and White hold a slim 25-22 edge in the all-time series, though Fordham has dominated in recent years, winning each of the last 12 matches against the Bonnies, dating back to the 2015-16 season. The Rams defeated St. Bonaventure in their most recent meeting, a 51-49 win in The Bronx on Jan. 25, 2025. 

Sunday will mark the first of two matchups between the sides, as Fordham will head to Olean, N.Y. for a return meeting in the regular season finale next month on Feb. 28.

Notes

Holding opponents to just 38.4% shooting on the year, the Rams post the seventh best field goal percentage defense in the A-10, and also pace the league averaging 26.2 bench points per game, 38th best of any team in the nation.

The Maroon and White also sit 66th in the country in steals per game at 10.4/game,  and rank 61st in the country in turnovers forced per game, forcing opponents into 20.00/game, both the second best average in the league.

The Rams sit 17th among all Division I teams in the nation averaging 16.1 offensive rebounds per game and are 87th nationally in overall rebounds at 39.59, second and third best in the A-10.

Scoring in double figures in each of her first 13 games as a Ram, Alexis Black has paced the Rams offense and sits 23rd in the nation in free throws made with 83 on the year, and is averaging 19.4 points per game, 25th best in the nation. Black is top five in the league in points scored, points per game, assists, steals, three pointers made, three point percentage, and free throws attempted and made.

The Maroon and White will host Saint Louis Wednesday morning for Kids Day Out at the Rose Hill Gym, with tipoff scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
