BRONX, NY --The Fordham volleyball team racked up 11 blocks on the night Friday in a three-set (21-25, 19-25, 22-25) loss to Loyola Chicago in the A-10 Opener at the Rose Hill Gym.
Audrey Brown finished with nine kills on the day to lead the Rams offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .304. The Maroon and White also got 18 digs from Ozge Ozaslan along with six blocks from Tatum Holderied and five rejections from Brown to lead them defensively.

SET 1 | The Rams found themselves in an early hole, before rallying back midway through, falling in the first set 25-21. Fordham trailed by as many as 10 points as Loyola Chicago never surrendered the lead despite the late effort by the Rams.
SET 2 | Fordham then dropped set two 25-19 to fall behind in the match two sets to none, despite another back-and-forth much of the way. Fordham trailed by as many as six points as Loyola Chicago grabbed the advantage for good at 5-4 in a set that was tied up six times before the Ramblers took over the lead and pulled away down the stretch.
SET 3 | Loyola Chicago finished the sweep with a third-set win by the score of 25-22. The Ramblers grabbed the advantage for good at 15-14 in a set that was knotted up five times before the visitors took over in the second half of the stanza.
