BRONX, NY --The Fordham University volleyball team put on yet another show at the tape Saturday, racking up 16 blocks in a 3-1 loss (18-25, 25-22, 23-25, 20-25) to the Temple Owls Saturday at home at the Rose Hill Gym.
Fordham posted 10+ blocks for the sixth game in a row and seventh time this season, sitting as one of the top blocking teams in the Nation, through the first month of the campaign. From the front row, Tatum Holderied contributed 11 blocks, her third game this season in double-figures and Audrey Brown added six rejections, with Brown also finishing with 11 kills on the day to lead the Rams offense. Defensively, had two players reached double figures in digs as Özge Özaslan had 22 and Whitney Woodrow had 11.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Rams found themselves in an early deficit, losing a tough first set 25-18. Fordham trailed by as many as seven points, rallying back late to keep things close down the stretch.
SET 2 | Fordham rallied from a first-set loss to take set two 25-22, tying the match at one set apiece. The Rams scored first and never trailed in the set to secure the victory, opening up as much as an eight point lead at 13-5 before closing out the set. Fordham's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking five Temple attacks in the stanza and capitalizing on 10 Temple attacking errors on the way to tying the mach.
SET 3 | Temple went ahead 2-1 in the match after taking down the Rams in the third set. The Owls took an early 9-2 lead, before the Rams fought back to 15-12, and kept close the rest of the way, narrowly losing the set, 25-23.
SET 4 | Fordham then fell in the fourth set 25-20 to finish off the match, taking a slim lead early, before a back-and-forth frame flipped momentum to the visitors late to take the win.
Next Up
Fordham closes the non-conference portion of the 2025 calendar next Saturday, with a single game against Central Connecticut State at the Rose Hill Gym at 3:00 p.m.
