Box Score Philadelphia, Pa. – As they've done all season the Fordham University men's tennis team battled to the end, taking the match with Saint Joseph's down to the final singles match where freshman Jeremy Victoria rebounded after dropping the first set at sixth singles to win the second and the third in a tiebreaker to lead the Rams to a 4-3 win over the Hawks at the SJU Tennis Complex.
 
With the win, Fordham closes out the regular season with a 9-8 record, the most wins for the Rams since 2019.
 
Fordham opened the match by dropping the doubles point as Saint Joseph's won both completed doubles matches.
 
Filip Horak managed to even the score at one when Saint Joseph's Ernesto Ruy retired at second singles. Dhillon Virdee-Oakley then put the Rams up 2-1 when he upended Justus Agbo at first singles in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.
 
The Hawks retied the match with a win at third singles before Dhananjay Athreya rebounded after dropping the first set at fourth singles to Matthew Dubas, 6-3, to win the second. 7-5, and the third, 6-1.
 
But Saint Joseph's managed to knot the match at 3-3 with a win at fifth singles which meant the match came down to the sixth position where Victoria took the first set from Eli Gan-Dy, 6-3, but lost the second, 6-2. He then fell behind in the third set, 5-2, but battled back to win the set in a tiebreaker, 7-6(3).
