Davison, N.C. – Members of the Fordham men's tennis squad competed at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Individual Championships at Davidson College last weekend.
Grad student Zach Pellouchoud received a bye in the first round of singles play before falling in the quarters to Davidson's Goyo Hidalgo, 7-5, 6-3, who advanced to the finals. Pellouchoud had a set point in the first set but was unable to close out the set. In the back draw Pellouchoud defeated Duquesne's Aril Kayra Tuna in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.

Victor Kimpel was a top seed in singles and received a first round bye. He then lost to eventual singles champion Charlie Burdell from Richmond, 6-3, 7-6 (6).
In doubles play, Pellouchoud and Kimpel were the top seeds, and received a first round bye. They then defeated Duquesne's Arnau Anton Garcia and Gianluca Citadini in the semifinals, 9-8 (7), after being match points down. In the final they lost a heartbreaker to Davidson's Davide Procacci and Kai Villagomez, 6-2, 6-4, 10-3.
The men's tennis team returns to action on Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11 , as they host the Fordham Fall Invitational ion the Hawthorn/Rooney Courts.
