Celebrating Black History Month

  • We will be joined by several Black-owned businesses from the area to showcase their offerings throughout the game.

  • Each fan will receive a special tote bag to commemorate this important celebration.

  • The renowned Alvin Ailey performers will be showcasing a program during half time.

Rams at a Glance

  • Fordham (13-12, 7-7 A-10) fell to VCU last time out, 76-57, looking to break a stretch of five losses in their last six games.

  • Wednesday's game may serve as crucial in the tournament standings, as the Rams and Dukes sit tied for eighth in the league standings with just three games left on the docket after Wednesday.

  • Fordham closes the 2024-25 regular season with three of its last four games against opponents they faced earlier in the year, taking on Duquesne Wednesday before heading to Dayton Saturday, and hosting La Salle next Wednesday for Senior Night.

  • The Rams have limited five of their last eight opponents to under 60 points, and have held 14 teams this season to 59 points or less.

  • Fordham currently holds the No. 9 seed in the A-10 entering the midweek, with four games left to play including Sunday, before the A-10's 15-teams descend on Henrico, Va. March 5-9 for the 2025 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship.

By the Numbers

  • 56 - Fordham has only allowed more than 56 points scored three times in any of their 12 wins on the year, holding two teams below 50, limiting St. Bonaventure to 49 points, and holding LIU to a season-low 43 points on Dec. 8.

  • 60 - The magic number to victory this season, the Rams are 11-3 this season in games where they've scored at least 60 points, but sit at just 2-9 in games where their opponents reach the same plateau.

  • 6 - Six different Rams enter the weekend averaging at least 3.1 rebounds per game.

  • 11 - The Rams went the first 11 games of the year without allowing 70 or more points to any opponent.

Where the Rams Rank

  • On top of their dominance on the offensive glass, the Rams overall have pulled down 38.84 total rebounds per game, placing the Rams third in the A-10 and 76th in the nation.

  • Fordham has won eight of the last ten meetings with the Dukes, though the visitors Wednesday night hold a 23-13 edge in the all-time series.

  • The Rams have won each of the last three match ups at the Rose Hill Gym, dating back to the 2016 campaign.

Dueling with the Dukes

  • At 16-9 on the year, Duquesne sits tied with Fordham for eighth in the A-10 at 7-7 with four games to play, including Wednesday, before the conference tournament in Henrico, Va.

  • The Dukes are coming off a 75-70 win at Loyola Chicago Saturday, playing their second straight game on the road against Fordham.

  • That win snapped a three game losing streak for the Dukes heading into last weekend.

  • Duquesne leads the A-10 sitting 25th nationally at 11.3 steals per game and are fifth in the country averaging 10.2 made three pointers per game.

  • The Dukes' +6.56 turnover margin places them 21st in Division I and second in the league.

  • Megan McConnell leads the league in assists per game and steals per game, while sitting second in the conference in points per game, field goals made, and free throw attempts.

Last Time Out

  • For stock cars on the high banks at the Annual Daytona 500 Sunday afternoon and evening, it's key to save fuel throughout to be able to push full throttle towards the end of a stage. Unfortunately Fordham University women's basketball suffered the same result as 40 of 41 NASCAR drivers Sunday, as VCU saved its energy before smashing the gas in the second half Sunday to break away to the checkers for a 76-57 win in a Battle of the Rams at the Rose Hill Gym.

  • Combining for 48 points in the opening ten minutes of action, the Maroon and White found themselves down just four after one quarter, and just six at the half after another high scoring affair in the second frame.

  • Visiting VCU found some extra horsepower in the second half to outscore Fordham 32-19 in the final 20 minutes of action.

  • Three Fordham players finished the day in double figures, led by Irene Murua who totaled 15 points on 7-of-11 shots, along with a team high eight rebounds and four assists.

  • Alongside her, Taya Davis added ten points and four assists as well, while Amiyah Ferguson posted a career high 10 points off the bench.

Next Stop

  • Hitting the road for a second meeting with the Flyers, Fordham heads to Dayton, Ohio Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
