Bronx, N.Y. – Maybe it was a sign that fans attending tonight's Fordham-Saint Joseph's Atlantic 10 quarterfinal championship game were given free donuts. Because after 90 minutes of regulation and two overtime periods, that was the final score 0-0. But the second-seeded Rams managed to advance to the semifinals with a 5-4 win in the shootout phase at Moglia Stadium.
With the win, Fordham goes to 8-5-4 while Saint Joseph's closes out the season at 6-7-5. The Rams advance to the semifinals where they will host the University of Dayton Flyers on Wednesday, November 12, at 1:00 p.m. at Moglia Stadium.
How it Happened
• After Saint Joseph's scored on the first penalty kick, Fordham missed, putting the Rams in the hole.
• The Hawks held the advantage until the fourth round of the shootout when the Hawks missed their kick and
Lukas Gatti converted for Fordham.
