Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Christian Henry Leads Men’s Basketball Past UAlbany

Senior guard nets career-high 29 points

Laval, Quebec – The first time Fordham and UAlbany met in a basketball game was back in 1923, before the Rose Hill Gym was even constructed. According to an article in The Ram, Ed McMahon had a field day, scoring nine goals from the floor and four out of six tries from the foul line. Also, according to the article, the game was cleanly played as was indicated by the fact that there were only twelve fouls called on both teams. Tonight's game wasn't as cleanly played, with 33 total fouls called, but Fordham senior guard Christian Henry did his best Ed McMahon impersonation, scoring a career-high 29 points to lead the Rams to an 88-68 win over the Great Danes in the Northern Classic at the Place Bell Arena.

With the win, Fordham improves to 6-2 on the year while UAlbany falls to 2-6.

Henry shot 9-for-12 from the field, including 2-for-3 from long distance, and he added seven rebounds and seven assists. Grad student guard Dejour Reaves also finished in double figures for the Rams with 17 points to go with seven rebounds and five assists while junior forward Akira Jacobs contributed 16 points and junior forward Rikus Schulte added 14 points and seven boards.
