BRONX, NY -- For the second day in a row, Fordham volleyball team displayed impressive resolve with a 3-2 victory over the Davidson Wildcats Sunday at home at Rose Hill Gym.
The win boosted the Rams' record to 9-15 overall and 3-11 in Atlantic 10 action.
The offense was paced by Mila Micunovic, who finished with 17 kills on the day, ahead of Audrey Brown who added 14 and Erynn Sweeney who chipped in with 12 as part of a Fordham attack that had four players with double-digit kills. Defensively, the Rams had two players reach double figures in digs as Lola Fernandez had a career high 30 and Whitney Woodrow had 15. From the front row, Tatum Holderied contributed 10 blocks and Brown added eight rejections.

SET 1 | The Rams rallied from a seven-point 14-7 deficit down the stretch, but Davidson held on to win the first set 25-22.
SET 2 | Fordham responded to pick up a 25-22 victory in set two, evening the match at one set apiece. The Rams persevered in a back-and-forth set to win in a stanza that featured four lead changes and was tied 10 times. Neither team led by more than four points along the way. Fordham's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking seven Davidson attacks in the stanza.
SET 3 | Fordham fell in the third set, putting the Rams in a 2-1 deficit. The Rams came up short in a back-and-forth battle, losing 26-24 in a set that featured six lead changes and was tied 12 times. Neither team had a lead of more than three points along the way.
SET 4 | Fordham then responded to secure set four 28-26 to force a fifth set. The Rams seized the set win in spite of trailing by as many as seven points at 16-9 before rallying to claim victory. Fordham grabbed the lead at 27-26 and hung on the rest of the way, totaling 15 kills in the set. SET 5 | Down two sets to one, Fordham powered back to win the final two sets, culminating in a 15-10 fifth-set victory, to take the match 3-2. The Rams grabbed control of the set-five lead at 2-1 and held it the rest of the way. Fordham ended strong, opening its biggest lead of the stanza, five points, to finish off the set.
