Mike Magpayo celebrated his birthday on Monday.
Dejour Reaves waited a few days to give Magpayo his present as the grad student guard hit a jumper with six seconds remaining to lead Fordham to a 63-61 win over Wagner College in the Rose Hill Gym.
With the win, Fordham improves to 2-1 while Wagner falls to 0-3.

Rikus Schulte led the Rams with 14 points and seven rebounds while Reaves finished with eleven points, three rebounds and two assists and senior guard
Christian Henry chipped in with nine points and six assists.
How It Happened
• After falling behind 22-14, Fordham went on a 5-0 run with 8:56 left in the first half to narrow its deficit to 22-19.
• Wagner answered back and added to its lead, leaving the Rams down 31-26 entering halftime.
• Fordham narrowed its deficit to 33-29 before going on a 10-0 run to seize a 39-33 lead on a Schulte three-point play with 16:49 to go in the contest.
• The game would be tied six times over the next 16 minutes, the final time at 61 on a Wagner three-pointer with 34 seconds remaining before Reaves' shot gave the Rams the win.
