Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s Soccer Closes Out Regular Season with 5-0 Win over St. Bonaventure

Rams earn second seed for A-10 Championship, Will host Saint Joseph’s on Saturday

Bronx, N.Y. – In the spirit of Halloween, ESPN+ analyst Michael Smolens wore a Sully from Monsters Inc. costume in the press box on Saturday. Which was appropriate as Sully once said to his coworker, "Nice job, Mikey. You filled your quota on the first kid of the day." Tonight, the Fordham men's soccer squad filled its quota in the first half, scoring twice, but then added three more in the second to defeat the St. Bonaventure University Bonnies, 5-0, in the Atlantic 10 regular season finale on Senior Night at Moglia Stadium

With the win, the Rams clinched the second seed of the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship and will host Saint Joseph's in a quarterfinal match on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. at Muglia Stadium.

Fordham closes out the regular season with an 8-5-3 overall record, 5-1-2 in the Atlantic 10, while St. Bonaventure falls to 3-9-3overall, 1-5-2 in the conference.

Senior midfielder Daniel D'Ippolito led the Fordham offense, scoring once and assisting on two others, while redshirt freshman Daniel Lang added a goal and an assist.

How it Happened
• Fordham opened the scoring when Daniel Lang notched his fifth goal of the season in the eleventh minute, assisted by Thomas Gray.

• Less than ten minutes later, the Rams increased their lead to 2-0 on a penalty kick goal from Daniel D'Ippolito – his team-leading sixth goal of the season.

• Fordham went ahead 3-0 on Elias Betancourt's 54th-minute goal, his second of the season with an assist from D'Ippolito.

• The Rams went ahead 4-0 with an 84th-minute goal from Luca Bernoth, his first goal of the season with D'Ippolito and Andre Insalaco assisting.

• Fordham expanded its advantage to make it a 5-0 game on Insalaco's second goal of the season in the 89th minute, assisted by Emile Kisse and Lang.
