SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. --The Fordham volleyball team took the first set Wednesday afternoon, but a surge by the home side saw Rhode Island take a four set win (25-15, 14-25, 22-25, 22-25) over Fordham Wednesday on the road at Keaney Gymnasium.
The loss dropped Fordham's record to 7-15 overall and 1-11 in Atlantic 10 action.
The Rams attack was paced by Mila Micunovic, who finished with a career high 14 kills on the day, and by Audrey Brown, who had 10 kills. Defensively, the Rams had two players reach double figures in digs as Lola Fernandez had 14 and Whitney Woodrow had 10, and the front row, Tatum Holderied contributed seven blocks in her return to the floor.

SET 4 | Fordham lost the fourth set and the match, falling 25-22. Rhode Island grabbed the advantage for good late at 21-20 in a set that was tied up four times before URI took over in the second half of the frame.
