New York, N.Y. – Playing without the services of four players, including three starters, proved to be too much for the Fordham men's soccer squad who fell to Columbia University, 5-1, tonight at Rocco Commisso Stadium.
With the loss, Fordham falls to 7-5-3 while Columbia improves to 3-6-4.
How It Happened
• Columbia took an early 1-0 lead with a goal in the sixth minute.
• The Lion extended the lead to 3-0 with tallies in the 32
nd and 38
th minute.

Daniel Lang got the Rams on the board early in the second half, converting a free kick in the 48
th minute.
• But Columbia scored in the 53
rd and 84
th minute for the 5-1 final.
Notes
• Lang's goal was his fifth of the season, tying him with
Daniel D'Ippolito for the team lead.
• The Rams have not been shut out in a match this year.
• Fordham outshot Columbia 26-15.
• The Rams were without the services of leading scorer
Daniel D'Ippolito, along with
Thomas Gray,
