Bronx, N.Y. – (October 19, 2025) – It took 88 minutes, but the Fordham women's soccer team got a moment of brilliance from
Lena Johnsen to earn a 1-0 shutout win over the George Mason Patriots at Moglia Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The victory improved Fordham's record to 9-5-2 overall, 4-3-1 in Atlantic 10 play, as the Rams remain in contention for a berth in the Atlantic 10 Championship.
THE GAME
- The only goal of the game came in the 88th minute, as Lena Johnsen drove down the middle of the field and launched a 20-yard shot to the top right corner for her fourth goal of the season.
GAME NOTES
- Kyla King recorded three saves for the Rams to earn her second shutout of the season and eighth of her career.
- The goal by Johnsen was her fifth career game-winning goal and second this season.
- Fordham outshot George Mason, 19-6 in the match.
