NEW YORK  – Celebrating the Centennial Anniversary of the Rose Hill Gym's founding, Fordham University women's basketball hosts Dayton Saturday afternoon in The Bronx.

Turn Up and Tune In

  • The Rams take on the Flyers at 2:00 p.m. with Mike Watts and Andrew Posadas bringing fans the action on ESPN+.

  • Covering the audio side, Chris Carrino will call Saturday's action alongside Madi Dembele and Annabelle Watson for the WFUV Radio call on YouTube Live.

  • The first 100 fans at Saturday's game will receive free limited edition "Rose Hill 100" crewnecks, while all fans in attendance will receive free t-shirts. In a special partnership with Coca-Cola, limited-edition "Rose Hill 100" Coca-Cola bottles will also be given out while supplies last.

Rams at a Glance

  • Fordham (10-7, 4-2) opened the New Year on a four-game win streak, before falling at Saint Joseph's last time out on Wednesday, 72-65.

  • Saturday marks the start of a three-game homestand for the Rams that will carry through the end of the month, as they will host St. Bonaventure next Saturday, Jan. 25 at 2:00 p.m. and Rhode Island on Jan. 29. Fordham's next away game will come on Feb. 1 at Saint Louis.

  • Taya Davis has tallied consecutive double-figure scoring games for the first time in her Fordham career, tallying ten or more points in each of the Rams' last five games.

  • Saturday marks the first of two meetings with Dayton this season, as the Rams will head to Ohio for their return trip to Dayton on Feb. 22, one of four teams the Rams will face twice this season, along with Duquesne, La Salle, and George Washington.

  • The Rams winning streak included wins over defending A-10 champions, Richmond on Jan. 2, 80-78, a buzzer-beating, 64-62 victory on the road at Duquesne on Jan. 5, and a 61-53 home win over George Washington on Jan. 8.

  • 56 - Fordham has only allowed more than 56 points scored twice in any of their 10 wins on the year, holding LIU to a season-low 43 points on Dec. 8.

  • 60 - The magic number to victory this season, the Rams are 10-3 in games where they've scored at least 60 points.

  • 4-for-4 - From Jan. 2-12 the Rams recorded four straight games with four different players in double figures, marking the first time ever since joining the A-10 ahead of the 1996-97 season, the Rams have accomplished such a feat.

  • Fordham has crashed the offensive glass all season long, ranked third in the A-10 and 40th in the nation averaging 14.2 offensive rebounds per game, and hold a +4.0 rebounding margin, 98th best in Division I.

  • Defensively, the Rams have wreaked havoc on their opponents, placing third in the A-10 and 64th in the country forcing 19:53 turnovers per game.

  • The Maroon and White have also collected 9.4 steals per game, fifth in the conference and 98th best in the nation.

Leading the Herd

  • Taylor Donaldson has led the Rams in scoring in seven of the last nine games, and sits amongst the top-100 players in the nation in a plethora of statistical categories, including points per game (79th), steals per game (60th), three pointers per game (15th), and total three pointers made (34th).

  • Pacing the offense and ranked fourth in the A-10 at 17.1 points per game, Donaldson enters the weekend second in the conference in three pointers made per game at 2.93, and sits third in the A-10 in steals per game at 2.47.

  • Irene Murua leads the team and sits seventh in the league in field goal percentage shooting 55.2% from the field this season. Murua also tops the Rams rebounding numbers with 6.4 per contest, placing her 13th best in the conference.

  • Taya Davis sits second in the A-10 and 68th in the nation at 4.6 assists per game to lead the team in that category.

  • Chaé Harris has been consistent whether in the starting five or coming off the bench, making 11 starts while averaging 9.4 points per game, 2.4 rebounds per game, 1.8 assists per game, and 1.1 steals per game.

Matchup History

  • Fordham has won each of the last two meetings with the Flyers, taking both by double digits, including a 70-48 win at the Rose Hill Gym last season on Feb. 7, 2024.

  • Dayton holds a 22-10 lead in the all-time series, though the Rams hold a 4-3 edge in the last seven meetings, dating back to the 2019-20 campaign.

Dueling with Dayton

  • At 11-6 on the year, the Flyers sit atop the A-10 standings six games into league play at 5-1 and riding a five-game win streak, most recently defeating Duquesne, 80-71 on the road in Pittsburgh Wednesday night.

  • Ivy Wolf leads the Dayton offense as one of two players averaging double figures, entering the weekend second in the A-10 at 17.7 points per game, shooting 45.4% from the field and 44.7% from long-range.

End to End Effort

  • A free-throw frenzy throughout the second half Wednesday night, the Rams fell at Saint Joseph's, 72-65 in Philadelphia.

  • A clean contest for much of the first half, neither side attempted a free-throw in the opening 20 minutes, with the teams combining for just nine team fouls to that point. The game ended with a combined 46 fouls and 57 shots taken from the charity stripe, with St. Joe's shooting 25-of-35, and the Rams outshooting their opponents percentage-wise, making 17-of-22 tries from the line.

  • Wednesday saw a pair of Rams finish in double figures led by 19 points, four rebounds, and a pair of steals from Chaé Harris, along with Taya Davis adding 16 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. 

Next Stop

  • The Rams will have their lone bye of the A-10 slate in the midweek, returning to action next Saturday, Jan. 25 to host the middle game of a three-game homestand against St. Bonaventure at the Rose Hill Gym.
