Fairfield, Conn. – The Fordham men's tennis squad got its 2024-25 season off to a good start, competing at the Fairfield Invitational at the WAC Tennis Courts.
 
The Rams competed against Fairfield, Quinnipiac, and Sacred Heart in hidden duals. There was no team score.
 
Leading the way for Fordham was sophomore Dhananjay Athreya a transfer from Buffalo who was making his Fordham debut. He was a perfect 3-0 in singles play, all coming at the second position. Junior Dhillon Virdee-Oakley went 2-1 at #1 singles and added a doubles win at #1 while freshman Andro Barrientos recorded his first college win, beating Sacred Heart's number 5.
