BRONX, N.Y. – Fordham Men's Basketball Head Coach Keith Urgo has announced that the program will host two separate camps this summer at the historic Rose Hill Gym.
Beginning on June 14, the Rams will host a two-day team camp for local high school squads. Each team that registers will be guaranteed to play at least three games in front of the Fordham coaching staff and multiple metropolitan area NCAA Division III coaches. Campers will also learn from a series of lectures by Coach Urgo and his assistants. Cost for the camp is $300 per team.
During the week of July 22, Urgo and his staff will host a four-day youth camp for participants entering grades 2-7. Campers will be taught the fundamentals of the game and be given guidance on how to become better teammates and more coachable players.
Each day will feature two hours of skill and fundamental instruction and one hour of team competition before the camp breaks for lunch. The afternoon will then feature contests and more team game competition before wrapping for the day.
Youth camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will not be provided. Campers can bring lunch or purchase food from the camp cantina, which will include, pizza, chips, candy, water, sports drinks, etc.
Cost of the youth camp is $350 per enrollee. Discounts are available for families with multiple campers and children of Fordham employees.
Camps are open to any and all entrants.
