2024 Stats Perform FCS All-Americans
 
Bronx, N.Y. - Stats Perform has announced its 2024 NCAA FCS All-America Teams today and among the 113 players honored is Fordham senior defensive lineman Matt Jaworski, who was named the Second Team All-America. He is just one of two Patriot League student-athletes to be named to the All-America team.
 
Last month, Jaworski was named the 2024 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year as well as a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, presented to the national defensive player of the year in Division I FCS college football.
 
Matt Jaworski (Sr., DL, Buffalo, N.Y./St. Francis)
• Named a finalist for the 2024 Buck Buchanan Award
• 2024 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year
• 2024 First Team All-Patriot League
• Started all 12 games on the defensive line
• Made 60 total tackles on the year, 33 solo
• Included in the 60 tackles were a team-high 15.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks
• Also had a team-best 34 quarterback hurries and four pass breakups
• Forced one fumble and blocked a kick
• Led the Patriot League and ranked 17^th in the NCAA FCS in TFLs/game (1.3)
• 2024 Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year
• 2023 First Team All-Patriot League
• Recorded 42.5 career TFLs, third on the Fordham career list
• Recorded 19.5 career sacks, tied for fifth on the Fordham all-time list
