Bronx, N.Y. - Tryouts for the 2023-2024 Fordham University Cheer Team will be held Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the Lombardi Field House on the Rose Hill Campus.
 
If interested, please fill out the registration form to reserve your spot at tryouts.
 
Time Commitment:

• Practice: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays: 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Lift: Tuesdays (1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.) and Thursdays (2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
• Football Games: Saturdays (home and away)
• Men's & Women's Basketball: Games throughout the week (home and tournaments)

 
What will tryouts involve?:

• Evaluation of tumbling (not required) and stunting skills
• Learn and perform
  • Sideline Chant
  • The Fordham Fight Song
• This material should be mastered with collegiate-level sharpness, motion placement, and confidence
• Demonstrate the ability to "rally" to 10 seconds of music

 
What should I wear?

• Tucked in full-length t-shirt
  • Please wear a Fordham t-shirt if possible
• Running or athletic shorts (no spandex or spanx)
• Cheer (preferable) or athletic sneakers
• Hair pulled back into low pony tail
• Natural makeup
• No oversize bows
• NO JEWELRY
