Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham softball fell, 9-0, in five innings to St. John's on Saturday in the team's home opener. With the loss, the Rams fall to 6-19 overall, while the Red Storm improve to 9-13.
Loreley Francia limited Fordham's offense to three hits and a walk, plus a hit-by-pitch, with 10 strikeouts.

Bella Ayala each singled and
Sarah Taffet drew the walk.
Devon Miller was saddled with the loss after giving up eight runs over 2.1 innings, striking out five hitters.
Holly Beeman came on in relief and struck out four over 2.2 frames with one run allowed.
The Rams play at Iona at 3 p.m. before beginning Atlantic 10 play next weekend at home against St. Bonaventure with a three-game series. Both days' games will begin at noon. Sunday's series finale will be streamed live on MSG and ESPN+.
