BRONX, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams continue the 2023-2024 season, Fordham's 121st varsity season, by hosting the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils for Field Trip Day in the historic Rose Hill Gym Thursday, December 21, at 12:00 p.m.
Join the Ramses Challenge, a philanthropic initiative supporting our student-athletes. Pledge a set amount for each rebound, offensive rebound, steal, or assist. All proceeds are tax-deductible and go directly to the men's basketball program. There is also an option to make a one-time gift to men's basketball.
The game will be broadcast live on SNY and streamed on ESPN+ with Mike Watts (PxP) and Andrew Posadas (analyst) announcing as well as broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and the
WFUV Sports YouTube page with Miles Grossman (PxP) and Colin Loughran (analyst) behind the mics.
Fordham enters the game with a 5-6 record and is coming off a 77-55 loss to St. John's University at Madison Square Garden on Saturday afternoon while Central Connecticut is 4-7 on the season after a 79-74 loss to Northeastern University in New Britain on Tuesday night.
Thursday afternoon's contest will be the sixth meeting between Fordham and Central Connecticut on the hardwood. The Rams lead the all-time series, 4-1, and have taken the past four meetings with the Blue Devils. Fordham took the most recent meeting, 90-77 last December as
Khalid Moore netted 25 points and
Darius Quisenberry added 18.

• With the special noon tip-off, Fordham will welcome thousands of local school children to the historic Rose Hill Gym for an afternoon of basketball.
• Sophomore forward
Joshua Rivera leads the Rams in scoring (11.2) and is second in rebounding (4.9) while senior guard
Japhet Medor is second in scoring (10.8 ppg) and leads the Rams in assists (3.4/game).
• Senior guard
Kyle Rose has 170 career steals, tied for ninth all-time at Fordham.
• Rose has appeared in 119 career games, tied for eighth all-time for the Rams.
• Senior guard
Kyle Rose has 21 steals this year (1/9/game), fourth in the Atlantic 10 while senior guard
Antrell Charlton has 18 (1.6/game), seventh most in the A-10 this season.
• Senior forward
Abdou Tsimbila has 26 blocks in eight games (2.6/game), second in the Atlantic 10 and 13th in the NCAA.
• Tsimbila has 120 career blocks, seventh all-time at Fordham.
• Tsimbila also leads the Rams in rebounding, averaging 8.3/game, second in the Atlantic 10.
• After averaging 2.7 ppg and 2.0 rpg last year, sophomore forward
Elijah Gray is averaging 8.4 ppg and 4.2 rpg this year.
• The Rams are 70-27 against teams currently in the Northeast Conference, including wins over Wagner and FDU this year.
• The Rams did not lose any student-athletes to the transfer portal from 2022-23.
• The Rams continue the 2023-24 season by hosting the Columbia University Lions in the historic Rose Hill Gym for the Tom Konchalski Classic on Saturday, December 30 at 1:00 p.m.
