Hamden, Conn. – (September 7, 2022) – The Fordham Rams battled hard against the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Wednesday afternoon, knotting the game at one with a 74
th minute goal. However, the Bobcats scored twice in the span of 2:20 to grab a 3-1 decision.
Quinnipiac opened the scoring in the 29
th minute, as some quick passing from Emely van der Vliet and Ell Gagno found the team's leading scorer Rebecca Cooke in the box for her sixth goal of the season.
The score remained that way due to Fordham goalkeeper
Serena Mensah coming up with a couple of big stops on Cooke in the 31
st minute and Olivia Kudrikow in the 67
th minute.
Fordham rewarded those efforts by knotting the game at one in the 74
th minute.
Caitlin Kennedy found her way to the endline and cut across the box. She slipped a quick cross to
Natalie Velde at the top of the six-yard box for the shot and goal, the first of her career.

The tie score did not last long, as the Bobcats scored twice in the span of 2:20 to grab a 3-1 victory. In the 77
th minute, Kudrikow hit the crossbar with the rebound going right to Cooke for the header goal, her second of the game. Then in the 79
th minute, Madison Alves scored her first career goal for the two-goal advantage.
In net, Mensah finished the match with four saves, while Quinnipiac's Sofia Lospinoso also had four stops.
Fordham will next be in action on Sunday, September 11
th, as they play at Columbia at 3:00 PM.
