Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham volleyball (6-5) kicks Atlantic 10 play off this weekend with a rematch of last year's championship, hosting Dayton (6-7) on Friday and Saturday. Start times are 6 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.

Ramses Challenge, a new philanthropic initiative supporting our student-athletes! Pledge a set amount of money for each set won by Fordham volleyball this year, or make a one-time gift to the program. All proceeds are tax-deductible and go directly to Fordham volleyball. The Rams won 46 sets last year and are up to 24 so far through 11 matches!

The Rams fell to Sacred Heart in straight sets and in four to Yale and Villanova at last weekend's Yale Invitational.

Series History
The Flyers hold a 44-1 all-time series advantage since the Rams joined the Atlantic 10 for the 1995 season. Fordham's lone win came in 1997 in five sets at home. The most recent meeting was last year's championship match, a sweep at the hands of the hosts.

National and A-10 Ranks
The Rams have enjoyed a hot start to the season, especially in attack, and are near the top in many per-set categories – they are second in attacks per set (35.72) and hit percentage (.214), third in assists per set (11.65), and fourth in aces per set (1.56). Those are all within the top-150 nationally.

At the individual level,
Whitley Moody leads the conference in total points (188), points per set (4.37), total kills (170), and kills per set (3.74), ranking 69
th and 84
th nationally in the per-set figures. She is also 30
th in the nation with 11.12 attacks per set.
Aria De La Rosa,
Audrey Brown, and
Chloe Pejouan are fourth, sixth, and 10
th, respectively, in hit percentage, at .324, .317, and .285 in the league, while
Megan Brzozowski is second with 8.49 assists per set. Pejouan is also fifth with 1.14 blocks per set, ranked 100
th in the nation, and is 74
th nationally with 49 total denials. Moody is second in the A-10 and 95
th in the country with 0.44 aces per set, as well.

Audrey Brown Named A-10 Rookie of the Week Again
The freshman outside hitter
became the fifth Ram to earn multiple Rookie of the Week awards, doing so twice in the first three weeks of the season. Brown posted back-to-back 14-kill efforts at the UND Classic, hitting a super-efficient .463 on 54 attacks for the weekend, including a mark of .565 in the sweep of North Dakota.

Whitley Moody Named A-10 Player of the Week
The junior outside hitter
earned her second career Player of the Week honor after leading the Rams to four wins in four days as August turned to September, racking up 54 kills, 35 digs, five blocks, and four aces, averaging 4.32 points per set.

USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award
For the third straight year and fourth time in the last five years, the Rams earned a United States Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association
Team Academic award, holding a 3.3 GPA or above for the entire 2021-22 academic year. 12 student-athletes also saw placement on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, which requires a 3.0 GPA or better for the year.

Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll
The league's head coaches voted on the annual preseason poll and Fordham was picked to finish seventh. Dayton was selected to successfully defend its title, garnering eight first-place votes, with VCU getting the other two votes and picked second, followed by newcomers Loyola Chicago in third.

Fordham travels to Loyola Chicago for the first time next weekend to play two matches with the Ramblers, one on September 30th at 7 p.m. and one on October 1st at 1 p.m.
