Kensington, Conn. – Fordham golf kicked off its 2022-23 campaign with day one of the Ryan Lee Memorial tournament, finishing the day in T-12
th at 5-over and led by
P.J. O'Rourke's 3-under 68. La Salle's Kevin Lydon carded a 10-under 61 to lead the field by four strokes, while Sacred Heart finished atop the team leaderboard at 11-under, three ahead of La Salle and Bryant.
O'Rourke picked up where he left off at the end of his junior year, leading the Rams and finishing the day in an eight-way tie for eighth with a 68. The senior racked up five birdies on the day to go with one double bogey, the only blemish on his scorecard.
Nicholas Manning wrapped up play with a birdie, ending his day at 1-over, followed closely by sophomore
Jake Mrva's 2-over 73. Manning carded a pair of birdies on the day, Mrva with four. Rounding out the squad was newcomer Chris Konefal, who finished at 5-over, and Andreas Aivazaglou at 11-over.
