Reid Cucci, who has served as a rowing coach at Seton Hall Prep the past year, was named assistant rowing coach at Fordham University it was announced by head coach
Rebecca Gronsdahl today.

Cucci served as rowing coach at Seton Hall Prep from 2021-2022, helping the Pirates secure their first Head of the Charles participants and requalifiers, Garden State Scholastic medals, Philadelphia City medals & champions, Stotesbury medals, SRAA National qualifiers & medals, and Youth National qualifiers.

Prior to his stint at Seton Hall Prep, Cucci served as a rowing coach at St. Joseph's High School in Metuchen, N.J., in 2019 where he coached varsity athletes to Stotesbury Cup silver medals and to the Youth National Championships.

An accomplished rower himself, Cucci rows for the Nereid Boat Club. He competed in the 2013 Canadian Henley where he earned a silver medal in the U23 LM1x.

A 2017 graduate of the University of Delaware, Cucci rowed for the Blue Hens for three years and was a member of the school's first crew to defeat a Harvard lightweight boat. He medaled in the ACRA Championship and was a Dad Vail National Championship finalist in 2015 and 2016.

Internationally, Cucci represented the United States at the 2015 and 2016 Under 23 World Championships.
