Fairfax, Va. – Fordham softball walked off, 3-2, with two outs in the seventh on Amanda Carey's opposite-field single to score pinch-runner Mallory McClellan from second. With the win, the Rams have booked a date with top-seeded George Washington in tomorrow's first semi-final at noon on ESPN+, while improving to 28-19 on the year.

Carey, who entered the game as a defensive replacement in the sixth, made her lone plate appearance count, driving a 1-0 offering into right center to score McClellan, who was running for Rachel Hubertus, who had led off the frame with a single down the left field line. Julia Martine then laid down a great sac bunt to push McClellan over to second.

The Rams scored one run in each of the fifth, sixth, and seventh frames to cut into and eventually surpass a 2-0 Saint Joseph's lead. The Hawks had finally broken the deadlock in the fifth against Makenzie McGrath on three errors in the field, plus a single and a walk, both with two outs and unearned. The first run came on Jordan Hinkle's RBI single to score Ashley Tauber and the second on an error.

Fordham struck back immediately; Brianna Pinto led off with a single to left but was erased on a fielder's choice. Hubertus singled to left to move Michaela Carter to second and Martine ripped a two-out double over the head of the left fielder to score her and halve the deficit. After McGrath worked around a two-out Ribinski double, Sarah Taffet knotted the game up with a booming double off the centerfield wall to score Mary Grace O'Neill from first, who was running for Devon Miller, who had singled as a pinch hitter to lead off. Bailey Enoch picked up her seventh win by replacing McGrath in the top of the seventh and setting down the top three Hawk hitters in emphatic fashion.

Hubertus led the offense by reaching base three times, two singles and a walk, while Martine and Enoch each reached safely twice, once via walk. Four other Rams tallied a hit, while five drew a walk.

McGrath limited Saint Joseph's to the two unearned runs and just seven baserunners over her six frames. Enoch struck out one in her perfect inning.
