Davidson, N.C. – Fordham volleyball continued its six-match road stretch with a three-set loss at Davidson on Friday night, 12-25, 15-25, 22-25. With the loss, the Rams fall to 9-12 overall and 3-7 in Atlantic 10 play, while the Wildcats improve to 15-6 and 9-1, respectively.
The hosts controlled the tempo in the opening two frames before the visitors were able to lead for much of the third. However, Davidson scored 11 of the final 12 points to secure the victory and hit .312 overall for the match. The Rams hit .119 and committed fewer errors, including just seven over the final two frames, but the Wildcats posted 25 more kills on the day.
Aria De La Rosa enjoyed a terrific match, notching a team-high 10 kills at a .563 clip (10-1-16) with three blocks, two solo.
Whitley Moody, with seven, and
Audrey Brown, with six, provided most of the rest of the offense.
Megan Brzozowski set up 20 kills and added eight digs, three blocks, two solo, and an ace.
Lauren Arzuaga also tallied a solo block.
Mallory Lipski racked up 16 more digs, adding three assists and an ace, too.
The two schools will meet again tomorrow at 3 p.m. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
