Last Time Out
The Rams suffered three defeats at last weekend's Titan Classic. Fordham experimented with many different lineups over the two days with 14 student-athletes making an appearance, including debuts for freshmen
Megan Kinney,
Ryan Naumann, and
Lauryn Sweeney. Sophomore
Whitley Moody led the attack with 34 kills, averaging 3.09 per set, and hitting .214. Seniors Bella Ureña and
Joey Landeros were next with 22 and 18, respectively, and junior
Aria De La Rosa added 14 with a team-best .364 hit percentage. Seven different Rams notched between one and two aces and eight at least one block, led by junior
Chloe Pejouan's 10, a rate of 1.43 per set. Junior libero
Mallory Lipski racked up 44 digs over 11 sets and three others had at least 19.
Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll
As a result of their effort in the spring, the Rams have been predicted by the league's head coaches to repeat their fourth-place finish in the
annual preseason poll, the highest Fordham has ever finished in it, besting the previous high of sixth in 2009.
VB Earns AVCA Team Academic Award
For the second straight year and third time in the last four, the Rams earned the
USMC/AVCA Team Academic award for programs with a cumulative 3.3 GPA or higher.
