Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams open play at the 2021 Atlantic 10 Championship by facing the George Washington University Colonials in VCU's Siegel Center in Richmond, Va., on Wednesday, March 3, at 2:00 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+, with Matt Martucci (p-b-p) and Dr. John Gianinni (color) announcing, and streamed on www.wfuvsports.org with Emmanuel Berbari (p-b-p) and Andrew Posadas (color) behind the mics.

Fordham, the 14-seed, enters the game with a 2-11 record, 2-11 in the Atlantic 10, and is coming off a 68-40 Atlantic 10 loss to Saint Louis in the Rose Hill Gym on February 13, while George Washington, the 11-seed, enters the game with a 4-11 overall record, 3-5 in the A-10, and is coming off an 88-41 league loss at St. Bonaventure on Friday night.

Wednesday afternoon's contest will be the 40th meeting between Fordham and George Washington on the hardwood. The Colonials lead the all-time series, which started in the 1914-15 season, 29-10, and took this year's first meeting, 71-47, in the Rose Hill Gym on December 30 as Jamison Battle netted 24 points and James Bishop added 23. The GW win snapped a four-game Fordham winning streak in the series, including three wins last season.
