Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams open the 2021-2022 season by hosting the Columbia University Lions in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Tuesday, November 9, at 8:00 p.m. in a game presented by TD Bank.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Andrew Bogusch (play-by-play) and Andrew Posadas (color) on the call, and broadcast live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and wfuvsports.org with Nick DeLuca (play-by-play) and Ryan Gregware (color) announcing.

Fordham enters the game after going 2-12 last year, 2-11 in the Atlantic 10, while Columbia will see its first action since the end of the 2019-2020 season (the Ivy League did not compete in 2020-2021).

Tuesday night's contest will be the 60th meeting between Fordham and Columbia on the hardwood. The Rams lead the all-time series, 52-27, and have taken four of the past five meetings. Fordham took the most recent matchup, 70-69, on November 18, 2019, in the Rose Hill Gym on a Jalen Cobb buzzer-beater

Notes
• The game will mark the head coaching debut for Fordham head coach Kyle Neptune, who arrived at Fordham after eight years as an assistant at Villanova.

• Neptune is looking to become the first Fordham head men's basketball coach to win in his debut since 1986.

• The Rams are 76-36 (.679) in season openers since 1908, 81-20 (.802) in home openers.

• The Rams have won two of the past three season openers.

• It may take a few games for Fordham fans to recognize the 2021-2022 men's basketball team as there are nine new faces on the squad.

• It's been a long road back for Fordham graduate student forward Chuba Ohams as he looks to regain his 2019-2020 form after missing just about all of last year due to an injury suffered on January 5, 2020.
