Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams continue the 2020-2021 Atlantic 10 season by traveling to Kingston, R.I., to face the University of Rhode Island Rams in the Ryan Center on Sunday, January 24, at 2:30 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on the NBC Sports Network with Paul Burmeister (play-by-play) and Tim McCormick (color) on the call, and broadcast live on wfuvsports.org with Emmanuel Berbari (play-by-play) and Andrew Posadas (color) announcing.
Fordham enters the game with a 1-6 record, 1-6 in the Atlantic 10, and is coming off a 73-58 Atlantic 10 loss at Davidson on Wednesday afternoon, while Rhode Island enters the contest with a 7-8 overall record, 4-4 in the A-10, and is coming off a 71-69 league loss at Duquesne on Wednesday.
Sunday afternoon's contest will be the 69th meeting between Fordham and Rhode Island on the hardwood. Rhode Island leads the all-time series, which started in the 1941-42 season, 39-29. Rhode Island won last year's matchup, 76-75, on February 26 in the Rose Hill Gym as Jacob Toppin hit two free throws with six seconds left to give the visitors the win.

• The game was originally scheduled for February 20 but was moved to this weekend when George Washington went on pause during the week (the Colonials were slated to play at Rhode Island on Sunday – Fordham originally had the weekend off).
• Sophomore
Chris Austin has picked up the offense over the past five games, averaging 15.2 ppg over that stretch, including scoring a career-high 20 points in the win over Dayton.
• Austin leads the team lead in scoring at 12.1 ppg.

Joel Soriano has recorded a double-double in four of the first seven games of 2020-2021, including a 12-point, 12-rebound game against UMass last Sunday.
• Soriano now has a double-double in nine of his last 13 games dating back to last year.
• Soriano is leading the team in rebounding (9.0 rpg), fourth best in the Atlantic 10.
• Soriano leads the A-10 in offensive rebounding (4.0/game) and ranks eighth in field goal percentage (.574).
• Over the past five contests, Fordham opponents are averaging 61.1 ppg and shooting .404 (103-255) from the field and .280 (35-125) from behind the arc.
