Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams continue the 2020-2021 Atlantic 10 season by hosting the University of Massachusetts Minutemen in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Sunday, January 17, at 2:30 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live on the NBC Sports Network with Mike Corey (play-by-play) and Dr. John Giannini (color) on the call, and broadcast live on wfuvsports.org with Jimmy Sullivan (play-by-play) and Andrew Posadas (color) announcing.
Fordham enters the game with a 1-4 record, 1-4 in the Atlantic 10, and is coming off a 68-54 loss to St. Bonaventure in the Bronx on Wednesday afternoon, while Massachusetts enters the contest with a 4-3 overall record, 3-1 in the A-10, and is coming off an 80-78 overtime league win over Rhode Island in Amherst on Wednesday night.
Sunday afternoon's contest will be the 48th meeting between Fordham and Massachusetts on the hardwood. The Minutemen lead the all-time series, which started in the 1967-68 season, 30-17. UMass took last year's meeting, 57-49, on February 22 in the Rose Hill Gym as Tre Mitchell scored 15 points and grabbed 19 rebounds while
Joel Soriano paced the rams with 14 points and 16 rebounds.

Chris Austin has picked up the offense over the past three games, scoring a career-high 20 points in the win over Dayton, a game-high 17 at Duquesne, and ten more on Wednesday vs. St. Bonaventure.
• Austin leads the Rams in scoring at 11.2 ppg.
• Sophomore forward
Joel Soriano has recorded a double-double in three of the first five games of 2020-2021, just missing out at Duquesne with eight points and ten rebounds, and now has a double-double in eight of his last eleven games dating back to last year.
• Soriano is leading the team in rebounding (9.6 rpg), third best in the Atlantic 10.
• Soriano leads the A-10 in offensive rebounding (4.2/game) and ranks third in field goal percentage (.677).
• Over the past three contests, Fordham opponents are averaging 56.7 ppg and shooting .400 (58-145) from the field and .217 (15-69) from behind the arc.
• A win over UMass would give Fordham head coach
Jeff Neubauer, who is 5-1 all-time against the Minutemen, his 250th career coaching win.
