Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham women's basketball team will host a watch party for the #NCAAW Tournament Selection Show on Monday Evening at the Rose Hill Gymnasium. Doors will open to the public at 6 p.m., where fans can experience the selection show alongside the team while it's played on the videoboards. Admission is FREE.
The show will air live on ESPN, beginning at 7 p.m., when the 2019 Atlantic 10 champions will learn when and where they will play their first-round game. The opening two rounds of the tournament will take place on campus sites between March 22-25 and advancing teams will play the regional rounds from March 29-April 1.
The show will be open to the public. Fans are encourage to enter through the McGinley Center. There will be food and beverages available, giveaways, and an opportunity to pose with the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championship trophy.
The Rams earned a first-round bye to the A-10 Championship a few weeks ago with a share of its first-ever regular season title following a program-record 13 league victories, featuring nine straight conference wins, then coasted to their second-ever A-10 crown in Pittsburgh with an average margin of victory of just under 23 points over three games and three days. Fordham is currently riding a 12-game overall win streak, tied for the school record set by the previous title-winning squad of 2013-14, and are 25-8 on the year, the third-most wins in a single campaign. Since opening the year with a 5-5 record, Fordham is 20-3 with two separate seven-game win streaks or longer.

Bre Cavanaugh and
Mary Goulding became the first Fordham teammates to earn First Team All-Conference honors in the same season during the A-10 era. Cavanaugh finished second in the league with a 17.3 points per game average, while Goulding leads the Rams in every statistical category besides scoring, field goals, and three-point makes. They have both started in every contest this year that they've been available for. The duo was instrumental in the team's successful run to the championship, earning All-Tournament honors. Cavanaugh led the way with 23.3 points per game on 45.8% shooting, 50.0% from deep, and 18-of-20 (90%) from the line, with a team-high 10 assists. Goulding averaged 20.7 points on 57.5% overall shooting, 56.3% from deep, and a perfect 7-of-7 from the stripe with 6.7 rebounds, seven steals, and six assists to earn Most Outstanding Player accolades.
Under head coach
Stephanie Gaitley, the Rams have now enjoyed three consecutive 20-win seasons and six overall in her eight years, plus six postseason berths, including two trips to the NCAA tournament. Her Rams are an annual top-50 defense with half of them featuring in the top-25. This year's squad is one pace to being the highest finishers, currently eighth in the country with 53.9 points allowed per game.
