Pittsburgh, Pa. - The Fordham University Rams continue the 2018-2019 season, Fordham's 116th varsity season, and continue their 2019 Atlantic 10 schedule by traveling to Pittsburgh, Pa., to face the Duquesne University Dukes in the A.J. Palumbo Center on Wednesday, January 9, at 8:00 p.m.
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ and broadcast live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on
www.wfuvsports.org.
Fordham enters the game with a 9-5 record, 0-1 in the Atlantic 10, and is coming off a 76-51 loss to VCU in its A-10 opener on Saturday afternoon in the Rose Hill Gym while Duquesne is also 9-5 on the season, 0-1 in the conference, after a 65-61 loss at Davidson last Sunday.
Wednesday night's contest will be the 39th meeting between Fordham and Duquesne on the hardwood with the Dukes leading the all-time series, which started in the 1949-50 season, 22-16. The two schools split a pair of games last year with Duquesne winning, 64-41, in the Rose Hill Gym on January 6 behind 21 points from Rene Castro-Caneddy, and the Rams taking an 80-57 decision in Pittsburgh on February 10 as
Ivan Raut scored a career-high 25 points.

• Freshman
Nick Honor is eighth in the Atlantic 10 and 13th among all NCAA Div. I freshmen, averaging 16.4 ppg.
• Honor has scored in double figures in 13 of the 14 games this year.
• Fordham is averaging 70.4 ppg this year after averaging 62.3 ppg last year.
• The Rams are third in the Atlantic 10 in scoring margin at +6.7 ppg.
• Fordham is third in the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense, allowing just 63.8 ppg after giving up 70.3 ppg last year.
• The Rams are second in the Atlantic 10 with 9.0 three-pointers made/game.
• The Rams will be led by two captains in 2018-2019, senior forward
David Pekarek and senior guard
Antwon Portley.
• Besides eight new freshmen, the Rams also welcome two transfers to the lineup in 2018-2019,
Portley (Saint Peter's) and senior
Erten Gazi (DePaul). Both sat out last year after transferring to Fordham and each will have another year of eligibility remaining.
• Fordham is one of the youngest teams in the NCAA Div. I this year with eight freshmen and two sophomores on the 17-man roster.
• The Rams are an international team with five players from foreign countries.
