Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams continue the 2018-2019 season, Fordham's 116th varsity season, and their 2019 Atlantic 10 schedule by hosting the University of Dayton Flyers in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Saturday, January 26, at 2:00 p.m. The game will be presented by
New York Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital.
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Mike Watts (p-b-p) and Tim McMaster (color) announcing and broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and
www.wfuvsports.org with Raffaele Elia (p-b-p) and Emmanuel Berbari (color) announcing.
Fordham enters the game with a 9-10 overall record, 0-6 in the Atlantic 10, and is coming off a 73-7 A-10 loss to La Salle in the Rose Hill Gym on Wednesday night while Dayton is 12-7 overall on the season, 4-2 in the conference, after a 67-63 A-10 loss to George Mason in Dayton on Wednesday.
Saturday afternoon's contest will be the 36th meeting between Fordham and Dayton on the hardwood with the Flyers leading the all-time series, which started in 1952-53, 30-5, and have won the past 14 match-ups. Dayton took last year's meeting, 80-70, on February 17 in the UD Arena as Trey Landers netted a game-high 26 points and Jalen Crutcher added 19 for the Flyers.

Nick Honor is tied for eighth in the Atlantic 10 and tenth among all NCAA Div. I freshmen, averaging 16.1 ppg.
• Honor has scored in double figures in 17 of the 19 games this year.
• The Rams lead the Atlantic 10, and are 33rd in the NCAA, in turnover margin at +3.4.
• Fordham is third in the Atlantic 10, and 32nd in the NCAA, in scoring defense, allowing just 65.0 ppg after giving up 70.3 ppg last year.
• The Rams are also eighth in the conference in field goal defense, allowing opponents to shoot .431 (421-976) from the field, including .315 (110-349) from behind the arc, fifth best in the A-10 and 67th best in the NCAA.
• The Rams are second in the Atlantic 10 with 9.1 three-pointers made/game.
• The Rams are led by two captains in 2018-2019, senior forward
David Pekarek and senior guard
Antwon Portley.
• Fordham is one of the youngest teams in the NCAA Div. I this year with eight freshmen and two sophomores on the 17-man roster.
