Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams continue the 2018-2019 season, Fordham's 116th varsity season, and their 2019 Atlantic 10 schedule by hosting the Saint Louis University in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Tuesday, January 15, at 7:00 p.m.
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Mike Watts (p-b-p) and Tim McMaster (color) announcing and broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and
www.wfuvsports.org with Emmanuel Berbari (p-b-p) and Billy Reinhardt (color) announcing.
Fordham enters the game with a 9-7 overall record, 0-3 in the Atlantic 10, and is coming off a 71-64 A-10 loss to St. Bonaventure in Rochester on Saturday afternoon while Saint Louis is 12-4 overall on the season, 3-0 in the conference, after a 71-64 A-10 win at La Salle on Saturday.
Tuesday night's contest will be the 15th meeting between Fordham and Saint Louis on the hardwood with the Billikens leading the all-time series, which started in 1971-72, 11-3, and have won nine of the last eleven match-ups. Saint Louis took last year's meeting, 73-50, on February 3 in St. Louis Javon Best scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed eleven rebounds.

• Freshman
Nick Honor is seventh in the Atlantic 10 and tenth among all NCAA Div. I freshmen, averaging 16.4 ppg.
• Honor has scored in double figures in 15 of the 16 games this year.
• Fordham is third in the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense, allowing just 64.2 ppg after giving up 70.3 ppg last year.
• Tonight's matchup between Fordham and Saint Louis is part of the nationwide Jesuit Basketball Spotlight project, using Jesuit basketball to raise awareness of Jesuit education.
• The Rams are also eighth in the conference in field goal defense, allowing opponents to shoot just .428 (350-822) from the field, including .290 (78-269) from behind the arc, second best in the A-10.
• The Rams are tied for first in the Atlantic 10 with 9.1 three-pointers made/game.
• The Rams will be led by two captains in 2018-2019, senior forward
David Pekarek and senior guard
Antwon Portley.
• Besides eight new freshmen, the Rams also welcome two transfers to the lineup in 2018-2019, Portley (Saint Peter's) and senior
Erten Gazi (DePaul). Both sat out last year after transferring to Fordham and each will have another year of eligibility remaining.
• Fordham is one of the youngest teams in the NCAA Div. I this year with eight freshmen and two sophomores on the 17-man roster.
• The Rams are an international team with five players from foreign countries.
