2018 Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Championship Bracket (PDF)
Bronx, N.Y. – (October 31, 2018) – Looking to send of their senior class with a final home win, the Fordham men's soccer team saw that wish get spoiled on Halloween night, as the Dayton Flyers downed the Rams, 2-0 at Jack Coffey Field on Wednesday.
With the loss, Fordham ends the regular season at 8-4-4, 4-3-1 in the Atlantic 10, while Dayton secured an Atlantic 10 Championship berth improving to 8-5-4, 4-3-1 in the league.
The Flyers opened the scoring in the 33
rd minute, as Rok Taneski took a free kick near the left side corner flag. Taneski crossed the ball into the box, where Andrew Cross deflected a header into the top right corner of the goal for his second of the season.

leader for a goalkeeper on Wednesday
Dayton then got the all-important second goal in in the 67
th minute, as Jonas Fjeldberg played a through ball to Jake Feiner, who knocked in his second goal of the season on a shot from 10 yards out.
The loss spoiled Senior Night for the Rams, as Fordham honored its five seniors,
Dan Miklos,
Owen Lawrence,
Matt Miller,
Rashid Nuhu, and
Janos Loebe, prior to the game.
Due to the loss and a draw by Saint Louis, the Rams ended up in a three-way tie for fifth place with Dayton and Saint Louis at 13 points. Fordham did not play Saint Louis, so tiebreaker procedure went to record against common opponent between the three teams, which were La Salle and Rhode Island.
All three teams defeated La Salle, but Fordham was the only one to defeat Rhode Island, giving Fordham the fifth seed at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Championship. Fordham will play at fourth-seeded Rhode Island on Sunday, November 4
th, in Kingston, R.I., starting at 1:00 PM.
