Loebe & Fathazada Net Goals in Victory for the Rams

Davidson, N.C. – (October 20, 2018) – Making their third trip to Davidson in the last four seasons, the Fordham men's soccer team continued to make Alumni Soccer Stadium feel like a second home, as the Rams topped the Wildcats, 2-0, on Saturday night in Davidson, N.C.

Fordham has now played five total games at Davidson, three of which came in the 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship, and remained clean, posting five shutouts.

With the win, Fordham improved to 7-3-4 on the year, 3-2-1 in the Atlantic 10, while Davidson fell to 8-5-1 overall, 4-1-1 in the league.

After a scoreless first half, the Rams struck the scoreboard first in the 61st minute.  After a foul, Fordham's Janos Loebe lined up a free kick from about 24 yards on the left side and drilled a line shot off the right post and into the goal for his fifth of the season.  With the goal, Loebe reached 20 points scored for the third consecutive season, and moved into eighth on Fordham's goal scored list (24), as well as fifth in points, tying Ifeatu Oute (1970-72) at 78.
