Bronx, N.Y. – (October 17, 2018) – Despite 29 total shots in the game, neither the Fordham Rams nor the George Washington Colonials could solve the other, as the two teams played to a scoreless draw at Jack Coffey Field on Wednesday night.
With the tie, Fordham moves to 6-3-4 on the year, 2-2-1 in the Atlantic 10, while George Washington is now 5-6-2 overall, 1-3-1 in the conference.
Fordham's
Rashid Nuhu recorded his 28
th career shutout in the game, moving into sole possession of second place on the Rams' career shutout list, passing Jeff Knuth's 27.
Nuhu had to be sharp early on, stopping a prime scoring chance by George Washington's leading scorer Oscar Haynes Brown in the eighth minute.
George Washington's Thor Arne Hofs responded with a couple of saves on
Janos Loebe in the 21
st and 24
th minutes, and one on
Johannes Pieles in the 42
nd minute, keeping the game scoreless at the break. Hofs ended the match with six saves, stopping two second half opportunities from
Jack Sluys and one from
Bart Dziedzic.

The Fordham men's soccer team will next be in action on Saturday, October 20
