Princeton, N.J. - The Fordham men's tennis team competed at the ITA Northeast Championships, hosted by Princeton, this weekend.
The Rams got things started in qualifying singles where
Fabian Hansch Mauritzson defeated Colgate's Alec Dardis 6-4, 6-2 in the round of 64 before falling to Penn's Jason Hildenbrandt 6-4, 6-4 in the round of 32.
Lutwin de Macar fell to Binghamton's Dylan Friedman 6-1, 6-3 and
Finn Kemper dropped his match with Army West Point's Alejandro Quiros 6-1, 7-6 (7) in the opening round.
Sophomore
Max Green earned a spot in the main singles draw, where he fell to Princeton's Bill Duo in the opening round of 128.
In main doubles play, Mauritzson and de Macar fell to Bryant 8-3 and Green and Kemper fell to Harvard 8-2 in the round of 64.
The Rams return to action October 27-28 as the host Hofstra, Wagner and St. Francis Brooklyn in the Fordham Quad Tournament at Hawthorn Rooney Courts.
