Washington, D.C. – Atlantic 10 play started for the Fordham men's soccer team on Saturday in Washington, D.C., where the Rams and George Washington Colonials played to a scoreless tie at GW Soccer Field.
With the tie, Fordham is now 3-3-3 on the season, while George Washington moved to 5-2-4.
The first scoring chance of the game came in the eighth minute off a Fordham set piece.
Cole Stevenson took a corner kick that found
Connor DeFilippis for a header that was stopped by Colonials goalkeeper Thor Arne Hofs.

The best scoring opportunity of the game also came from DeFilippis late in regulation, as he went on a run toward goal in the 86
th minute. Hofs came out of the goal to challenge, forcing DeFilippis into a shot that just went over the crossbar.
Neither team mustered much offense in overtime, leaving the game in a scoreless tie.
In goal, Hofs made five saves for the Colonials for the shutout, while
Rashid Nuhu made one save for his second shutout of the season for Fordham.
The Fordham men's soccer team will next be in action on Wednesday, October 5
th, as the Rams travel to Dayton for a 7:00 PM match.
