Live StatsTwitter Updates @FordhamVBBRONX, N.Y. -- The Fordham women's volleyball team (6-9) returns to action Tuesday night when it returns to the Rose Hill Gym for the first time in over two weeks to host Stony Brook (3-12) at 7 p.m. Fans will be able to view the match for free online.
Last Time OutThe Rams finished 1-2 over the weekend at Saint Francis U's Red Flash Classic in Loretto, Pa. Fordham rallied from down 2-1 to defeat the hosts, 3-2 (25-27, 25-23, 20-25, 25-20, 15-11), before falling in four sets to Coppin State (15-25, 21-25, 25-16, 22-25) and in three sets to High Point (23-25, 16-25, 17-25).
Against Saint Francis U, freshman
Breanna Jones recorded her third double-double, as she led the Rams with a team-high 17 kills and 12 digs. Freshmen
Natalie Martinez and
Olivia LaPorta each added 11 kills, while sophomore
Emily Fronk dished out a career-high 48 assists to go along with 12 digs for her third double-double of the season. Senior
Brianna O'Neil, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, chipped in a season-best 10 kills and eight digs, while fellow classmate
Brennan Delsing led the way with a career-high 22 digs and a season-high three service aces. Martinez also tied a season high in service aces with five to pace the squad, while LaPorta and sophomore
Nicole Freeley, who also had seven kills, led the team with three total blocks.
In the match with the Eagles, O'Neil and Jones and each had 13 kills, while Fronk tallied over 40 assists for the second match in a row with 45 to go along with eight digs. LaPorta added 10 kills, and Delsing tied her career high in digs with 22 for the second straight match.
Jones and Martinez each had eight kills to lead Fordham against the Panthers. Martinez also had a team-best 13 digs, while Jones added eight. Fronk dished out 28 assists and collected eight digs, and O'Neil chipped in seven kills.

What You Need To Know: The Seawolves enter play Tuesday night having snapped a six-match losing streak over the weekend when they defeated Columbia at home, 3-1, in their own tournament, which also saw them lose to Atlantic 10-opponent Rhode Island (3-1) and Army West Point (3-1). Stony Brook's two other victories came against Buffalo (3-1) in University Park, Pa. and Holy Cross (3-1) in Fairfield, Conn. The Seawolves also have a four-set loss to Manhattan, who the Rams defeated in four sets on the road nearly two weeks ago. Stony Brook features four players with 110 kills or more, with Kathy Fletcher leading the way with 186 to go along with 142 digs, 21 total blocks and 16 service aces. McKyla Brooks is second with 155 and leads the team with 37 total blocks, while Stephanie McFadden (team-high 29 SA, 25 TB) and Taylor Wilson (18TB) both have recorded 110. Morgan Kath has dished out 511 assists and adds 105 digs, 23 total blocks and 21 service aces, while Nicole Vogel leads the way in digs with 150 to go along with 91 assists and 12 service aces.
