th minute proved to be the difference maker on Sunday, as the Tigers spoiled the Fordham Rams' home opener with a 2-1 victory at Jack Coffey Field.
The loss evens Fordham's record at 2-2-0 on the year, while Princeton improved to 2-0-0.
All of the scoring came in the second half, which began in the 49
th minute. Off a free kick on the left side, Vanessa Gregoire blasted a low shot off the near post. The rebound went right to Stephanie Paloscio at the top of the six-yard box, who tapped in her first goal of the season.
Ten minutes later, Fordham tied the game at one, also off a set piece.

Rachel Myers, running in from the right side. Her cross toward goal was touched by
Brooke Salmon, which slowed the ball down just a bit for
Ivana Lahcanski, as she buried her first marker of the season right in front of the net.

th minute by a 2-1 score off a corner kick. Gregoire played the corner kick out to Emily Sura near the sideline, 18 yards out. Sura then lofted the ball toward the left side and scored her first goal of the season. Fordham goalkeeper
Megan Fitzgerald was unable to reach the ball on the play following a collision in front.
Fordham was unable to find the equalizer over the final 13 minutes of action, falling by a 2-1 score.
In goal, Fitzgerald posted a season-high seven saves for the Rams, while Princeton's Hannah Winner did not register a save.
The Fordham women's soccer team will next be in action on September 4
th at the Charleston Cup in South Carolina, where they play at The Citadel, beginning at 5:30 PM.
